That’s a Wrap 2025
I officially hit 100 submissions on Dec. 1, 2025. That’s 22 days ahead of last year’s finishing date. It’s been so rewarding to pursue my annual goal and I want to celebrate the reasons why.
First, by submitting so many times I have muted the sting of each rejection. It’s just part of the process now. Any rejection is just a reason to update my notes on that submission and move on. For that alone I am grateful.
I’m also lucky to see my work selected and performed. This year I’ve had 13 “yes” responses and my work has debuted internationally for the first time as well as in several new states in the US.
Another benefit is an introduction to the many fine theatres, arts programs, podcasts and festivals from around the world. This is my second time chasing the 100 submissions goal and I’m starting to recognize familiar calls and programs. As a writer without a social media presence, the act of submitting my work is a way to grow my network.
Below is a list of where I submitted this year. Perhaps it will help other writers identify potential opportunities in the future. I also want to end 2025 with a request for companionship on this quest in 2026.
